Donate food

Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

If you are happy to drop off food donations to our warehouse, please see our warehouse opening times.

During this time of the Coronavirus the churches have closed and many of our collection points have been taken down. We are working with our contacts to set up alternative points for donating. Your patience whilst we secure new collection points is appreciated and any queries should be directed to the church at this time. We will update this page as we receive new information. If you would like to discuss this further then please ring 01353 468626 or email info@ely.foodbank.org.uk

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to help to people in crisis or struggling to put food on the table. On occasions where we have donations far in excess of expected need, or we have items that we cannot readily use in balanced food parcels, we make such surplus available to people in need in the form of a Lo-cost shopping session. On these occasions people are able to choose a set number of surplus items for a nominal charge. We also distribute surplus items to local hostels or other charities where this is a practical way of helping people in need using the items donated.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
